Terms of service

1.What pipo.pet is

pipo.pet is a free platform to report lost and found pets, add sightings, generate flyers, find vets and ask Pipo AI for help. It is an independent project from Paraguay, run by Ricardo Parra, and kept going by voluntary donations.

2.Your account

• You sign in with a link sent to your email. Look after access to your email: whoever can read it can get into your account.
• Your name and phone must be real: they are what people use to bring your pet back to you.
• You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
• You must be at least 13. If you are a minor, use it with your parents’ or guardians’ permission.

3.What can be posted

Post only real reports and sightings, with true information and photos you took or have the right to use. It is not allowed to:

• Create fake reports or sightings, or pose as the owner of an animal that is not yours.
• Ask for money in exchange for returning a pet or giving information.
• Sell animals.
• Post offensive, violent or misleading content, or spam.
• Use other people’s phones and details for anything other than reuniting a pet with its family.

4.Your content

The photos and text you upload remain yours. You give us permission, free of charge and while they are published, to show them, adapt them (crop and compress photos, make flyers) and spread them on pipo.pet and, if you leave that option on, on pipo.pet’s social accounts. If you delete them, we stop using them; posts already made on social media are removed if you ask us.

5.Contact between people

pipo.pet puts whoever lost a pet in touch with whoever saw or found it. We do not take part in those conversations or verify anyone’s identity. To stay safe:

• Never pay in advance to someone who says they have your pet.
• Ask for a current photo or video of the animal before meeting.
• Meet in public places and, if you can, with someone else.
• If you offer a reward, it is an agreement between you: pipo.pet does not intervene.

6.Pipo AI

Pipo AI’s replies are generated automatically and can be wrong. They do not replace a vet’s opinion. There is a daily usage limit so the service can stay free.

7.Vets

The vet directory is for information and may be out of date: check opening hours and services before going. A vet being listed is not a recommendation.

8.Moderation

We may hide or delete content and suspend accounts that break these terms. If you see something that should not be there, let us know at [email protected].

9.No guarantees

pipo.pet is offered free of charge and as is. We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot guarantee that a pet will be found or that the service will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for what other people post, for agreements between users or for damages resulting from the use of the service.

10.Changes

We may change these terms or the service. If the change is significant, we let you know by email or in the app. You can stop using pipo.pet and ask us to delete your account at any time.

11.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Paraguay. For any question, write to [email protected].
